Jordan B. “Bud” Paulin, 56, of Sioux City, formerly of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at his home following a brief illness. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Mauer - Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. Rev. Merrill Muller will officiate. Military honors conducted by the 185th Iowa Air National Guard will follow the service.
Jordan B. “Bud” Paulin, son of Donald and Pat Paulin, was born in Le Mars, Iowa on March 18, 1960. He graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 1978 and attended Westmar College. When discharged after four years in the US Navy as an electrician, he joined the 185th Air National Guard at Sioux City where he served for 28 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He spent several tours of duty worldwide, the last being in Afghanistan.
Jordan married Beverly Ruden Crowley in 1984 and they were blessed with one son, David James Paulin. The family later moved to Lobster Lake near Alexandria, Minnesota.
In Le Mars his business was Paulin Construction. He served as Exalted Ruler in the B.P.O. Elks Club. In Minnesota, Bud owned Cherry Point Carpentry. He was a master finish carpenter.
Bud is survived by his mother, Ann "Pat" Rowland of Carroll, IA; father, Don Paulin of Norwalk, IA; son, David of Portland, OR; sister, Tamara Golden of Pueblo, CO; former wife, Beverly Paulin and step-daughter, Dr. Krista Kelly both of Minot, ND; and many other relatives and friends.
