Obituary for Vonnie Anne Asmussen Le Mars, Iowa –Vonnie Anne Asmussen, 81, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away September 15, 2018, at Happy Siesta Care Center in Remsen. Private family services have already been held. The Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars is assisting Vonnie's family with funeral arrangements.

Vonnie was born November 14, 1936 at the family home in Sioux County to Oscar and Marie (Harms) Asmussen. She worked for the Le Mars Sentinel, Des Moines Register, and HyVee. Vonnie enjoyed reading, riding horses, traveling and staying informed of current events.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister; Dianne & her husband Lynn Fromme of Remsen, 2 brothers; Verlyn Asmussen of Spokane, WA, and Delwyn Asmussen of Sun City West, AZ and several nieces and nephews.

Vonnie was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; Arvin & Alvern Asmussen.
