Obituary for Theeann Clare Brzuchalski (Neuroth) Theeann C. Brzuchalski, 75, of Granville, Iowa passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Orange City Area Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville, Iowa. Father Terry Roder will celebrate Mass. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The rosary will begin at 4:00 p.m. with a scriptural prayer service at 7:00 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to Mass on Friday. The Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars is assisting Theeann's family with funeral arrangements.
Theeann Clare Neuroth was born on August 12, 1939 at Granville, Iowa, one of sixteen children born to Joseph and Rose (Heitzman) Neuroth. She attended and graduated from Paullina High School. Along with raising her daughter, Jane, Theeann worked in home health care in the Granville area for many years. She later took a position with the Farmers' Cooperative Elevator in Granville. Theeann did everything from office work to weighing and testing grain.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville, participated in guild and was active in the annual picnics and assisted with funeral lunches. In her spare-time, Theeann enjoyed fishing and spending time with Pete's family. His family remembers how good her taco salad and apple crisp was that she made for family gatherings. Her holidays were spent playing card games and having fish fry's.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jane Brzuchalski of Marietta, GA and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; five sisters, Virginia Wagner of Denver, CO, Julie Spieler of Beaver Dam, WI, Joyce (Virgil) Plathe of Alton, IA, Sarah (William) Rawlings of Sioux City, IA, Marilyn (Lee) Hammond of Sumner, WA; brothers, Eugene Neuroth of Indianapolis, IN, Charles (Jean) Neuroth of Le Mars, IA, David (Geraldine) Neuroth of Le Mars, IA, Paul (Carrie) Neuroth of Walterboro, SC, Joseph Neuroth of Seattle, WA, Patrick Neuroth of Sergeant Bluff, IA, Rodney (Paula) Neuroth of Aiken, SC and Timothy (Connie) Neuroth of Webster City, IA; sisters-in-law, Jackie Neuroth of Charleston, SC and Patricia Neuroth of Arvada, CO; numerous nieces and nephews; a loving partner of 32 years, Pete Barthman of Hospers, IA and his children that Theeann treated as her own, Sheila (Matt) Sailer of Urbandale, IA, Ryan (Kelly) Barthman of Adel, IA, Chad Barthman of Le Mars, IA and TJ (Natalie) Barthman of Brandon, SD, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald and Clifford Neuroth; brothers-in-law, Joseph Spieler and Reynold Wagner; sister-in-law, Carita Neuroth; and a nephew, Robert Plathe.
