Obituary for Richard Dean "Rick" Plueger Maurice, Iowa – Richard D. "Rick" Plueger, 53, of Maurice, Iowa passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, Iowa. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017 at All Saints Catholic Parish-St. James Church in Le Mars. The Reverend Matthew Solyntjes will celebrate Mass. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017, with the family present from 5:00-7:00 and a Vigil at 7:00, all at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. Rick was born January 10, 1964 in Le Mars, IA to Larry & Elizabeth (Peters) Plueger. He married Brenda (Freking) on July 24, 1999 at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars, IA. Rick worked for Rowes Millwright, BPI and until recently Natural Food Holdings. In his free time he enjoyed hanging out with his friends having a cold Budweiser at The Bar. Rick was a hard worker that provided well for his family.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife; Brenda, children; Nicole, Christopher, and Derek, mother; Betty Plueger, sister; Renee Clark, father-in-law Jim Freking and his wife Sally, brothers-in-law; Bill Freking and his wife Julie, Rich Freking and his wife Jessica, sisters-in law; Deb Williams and husband Gary, Barb Macken and husband Luke, and Diane Hanisch and husband Jasen. He was loved by his many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Larry Plueger, his grandparents Charlie and Lucille Plueger & Elmer and Collette Peters, his mother-in-law Vicki Freking, his brother-in-law Kermit Clark and his dog Sir Budweiser "Bud" Plueger.
