Randy Thill, 55, of Merrill, Iowa, passed away at his home on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. His family will have a private celebration of his life at a later date.

Randy Gene Thill was born on December 3, 1968, in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Roger and Sharon (Hatfield) Thill. He attended Le Mars Community Schools, graduating in 1987. Following graduation, Randy worked at various occupations prior to moving to Bloomington, Minnesota. He lived there for several years prior to returning to Merrill. Most recently, he cared for his mother prior to her passing on February 25, 2018. Randy was currently employed at XPO Logistics in Sioux City, Iowa as a forklift operator.

Randy was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed music, especially the Beatles. He also had a great love for his dogs.

Grateful to have shared his life are his sisters, Laurie DeWit and her husband, Bob of Jewell, Iowa and Deb Porter and her husband, Chad of Sioux City, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog, Alex.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his dog, Mia.
