Matthew J. Dreckman, 29, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022, at his home. Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 12, 2022, at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. Rev. Timothy Geitz will officiate. Matthew James Dreckman was born on March 8, 1993, in Sioux City, Iowa to Greg and Kris (Alons) Dreckman. He attended school in Le Mars and graduated from Le Mars Community High School. Following High School he proudly served in the Iowa National Guard. He was most recently employed at NorAm.

Matt was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, creating and building. He was an avid gamer and found peace in drawing.

He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Greg and Kris Dreckman of Le Mars; his sisters, Brittney (Michael) Farmer of Le Mars and Erika (Kyle Jacobs) Dreckman of Alcester, SD; nieces and nephews, Saylix and Brexley Farmer, Aubrey VanderWeide, Logan, Cam, Landon and Xandyr Jacobs; grandparents, Gary and Karen Dreckman and Sandy Cooper of Le Mars, Dave & Sandy Heuer of Rock Valley and great grandparents Herb & Joan Bruxvoort of Orange City; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Matt was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, his grandpa Tom Cooper, his uncle Adam Cooper and a cousin, Colby Thomas Klein.
