Margaret Norton, 92, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Accura Healthcare in Le Mars. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Le Mars. Pastor Jon Meredith will officiate.

Margaret Ann Norton was born on January 13, 1928 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Robert L. and Wilma (Coons) Dempster. She was raised in the Le Mars, Iowa area and graduated from Le Mars High School.

Throughout the years, Margaret was a homemaker and also worked with the family business. In later years she was a teacher's aide for Transitional Kindergarten. She also provided care for seniors in the area.

Margaret was a member of the First Baptist Church in Le Mars where she participated in the ladies' circle. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and bird watching. Vegetable and flower gardening were also among her favorite pastimes.

Grateful to have shared her life are her children, Dennis Norton of Le Mars, IA and Pamela Owens and her husband, Richard of Westminster, CO; a grandson, Robert Owens and his wife, Julie of Thornton, CO; two great-grandchildren, Kylie and Riley Owens; and a sister, Bonnie Kirkwood of Eau Claire, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
