Mae Kilker, 86, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at her home. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2022, at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. Pastor Luke Cargin will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2022, at the funeral home.

Mae Louise Kilker was born on May 8, 1936, in Beresford, South Dakota, the daughter of Everett and Sena (Twite) Lundquist. She attended school in Sioux City, Iowa, graduating from Leeds High School.

On October 1, 1954, Mae and Edward Albert Kilker were united in marriage at St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars. They made their home on a farm north of Le Mars. In early years, Mae was an elevator operator at the Badgerow Building in Sioux City. Along with assisting Ed on the farm, Mae worked at Aalfs Manufacturing, Ben Franklin and Harker's Meats in Le Mars.

Mae was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandkids knew her as "Popsicle Grandma". Mae collected dolls and looked forward to gambling trips and appreciated her pet cat.

She is lovingly remembered by her children and their spouses, Mitzi Cascketta of Phoenix, AZ, Marilyn and Dave Palmer of Le Mars, IA, Kevin and Michele Kilker of Mesa, AZ, Shelly and Steve Eppling of Le Mars, IA; grandchildren, Heidi Urbanski, Paula (Josh) Baker, Brett (Chelsea) Cascketta, Bryan Cascketta, Kelli (special friend, Jeff Davis) Palmer, Kim (Patrick) Burke, Lori (Luke) Bodeen, Kevin (Jessica) Kilker, Kyle Kilker, Craig Martfeld and Megan (Corey) Arens; 25 great-grandchild and 1 great-great grandchild; brothers, Dennis Lundquist of Sioux City, IA and Darrell (Evelyn) Lundquist of Sioux City, IA; a brother-in-law, Robert Wilson of Sioux City, IA; and several nieces and nephews.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward on February 26, 2013; a son, Keith on September 2, 2020; a granddaughter, Kassandra Kilker; sister, Mary Ann Wilson; sister-in-law, Roberta Lundquist; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anna and William Kilker; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lorraine and Harry Brunkhorst, Ruth and Loren Behrens and Robert and Dorothy Kilker.
