She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moville and attended country school near her home. She later helped area neighbor families with their children and housekeeping. They farmed there for 38 years before moving to Merrill, Iowa in October of 1984. They also spent many winters in Texas and traveled to worldwide destinations. Bill passed away on June 6, 2001. Five years ago Lydia moved to the Oakleaf Apartments in Akron and then to the care center in May of this year.
