Kristy Pecks, 69, of Le Mars, Iowa, died on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Celebration of Life will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.  Private interment will be at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars.  Arrangements are with the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. Kristy Ann Pecks, the daughter of Bernard and Margaret (Kock) Pecks, was born on November 22, 1955, in Le Mars, Iowa.  She attended school in Le Mars and graduated from Le Mars Community High School.  She furthered her education and graduated from the University of South Dakota with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Management.

She worked for US West (Qwest) in Omaha, Nebraska.  She then moved to Colorado and later Arizona before settling back in Le Mars. Following her retirement, she moved to Prior Lake, Minnesota to be closer to her grandchildren.  In February of 2025, she moved back to Le Mars.

She devoted her time and talents to the Le Mars Community Theatre, where she volunteered and participated in numerous productions and activities. She continued to stay connected with her Chi Omega sisters from her college years, friendships she held close throughout her life. She found great joy in reading, working on jigsaw puzzles, and spending time near the lake. A passionate traveler, she especially loved exploring new places and taking cruises. Above all, her greatest joy was her family – most especially her beloved grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Megan (James) DeMeuse of Prior Lake, MN, and their children, Zoey, Mia, and Mason; her sister in law, Denise Pecks of Columbus, NE; her nieces and nephews: Todd Pecks and his son, Tyler, Tracey Gulyas, and her children, Jake and Brooke, Scott (Karen) Fisher, and their children, Samantha and Victoria, Christina (Mark) Bliven and their children, Collin and Colter, Sandy (Jason) Delaney, and their daughter, Amanda, and Sherri Kenworthy, and her children, Tristen, Sasha and Ethan; and several cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Margaret Pecks; her brother, Robert Pecks; and her sister, Betty Fisher.
