Jeffrey Lewis, 58, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, formerly of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at the Mauer – Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. Deacon Doug Heeren will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Remsen, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Jeffrey Raymond Lewis was born on October 31, 1965, in Le Mars, Iowa to Joseph and Shirley (Colling) Lewis. He attended school at Le Mars Community until moving with his family to Fort Dodge where he graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. Jeff continued his education at Iowa Central Community College where he earned a degree in welding. He started his career at IBP in Storm Lake, Iowa. Jeff then went to work for Rowe's Millwright in Le Mars where he was a welder for several years before working at Frigidaire in Webster City, Iowa as a welder.

Jeff met Marva and through this relationship they had a daughter, Amanda. Jeff could typically be found indulging in many home improvement projects as he loved to tinker and stay busy. When he wasn't doing this, he could be found riding, or working, his Harley Davidson. He enjoyed the outdoors with a fishing pole or near a campfire. Jeff had a love for music and liked it loud in his home. He had a kind soul and would give to those even if he did not have the means to do so. He loved his dog, Mocha but nothing brought more joy to his life than visits with his family, especially his daughter and granddaughter, Audrey.

Jeff will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Shirley Lewis of Remsen, IA; his brothers, Scott (Jolynn) Lewis of Remsen, IA, Jody (Kelly) Lewis of Fort Dodge, IA; his daughter, Amanda (Justin) June of Alden, IA; granddaughter, Audrey June of Alden, IA; three nieces and five nephews; and his faithful dog, Mocha.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents Joe and Neva Lewis and Ray and Ruth Colling and his special friend, Marva DeBuhr.
