Obituary for Gary Francis Frerichs Gary F. Frerichs, 54, of Le Mars passed away February 10, 2017 at a Sioux City hospital. Mass will be 10:30 am Thursday February 16, 2017 at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. Burial at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at St. James Catholic Church with a Scriptural Prayer Service at 7 pm. There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to Mass on Thursday.

Gary Francis Frerichs was born February 9, 1963 in Le Mars to Jerry & Donna (Niehus) Frerichs. He graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 1981.

Gary and Cheryl Easton were united in marriage on June 4, 2011 in Phoenix AZ. He managed Wagner Auto supply where he worked for over 35 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, NHRA Drag Racing, AMA Drag Bike, and a diehard Rams fan. He enjoyed motorcycle drag-racing and helping his brothers and nephews build their derby cars.

He is survived by his wife Cherie, stepchildren Jenny Wright, Adam Easton and Aaron Easton, grandchildren; Makenna, Kaydence and Kennedy Wright, Joslyn Lee Easton; his mother, Donna Frerichs; sisters, Bev (Doug) MacEwan, Barb (Jim) Sitzmann, Karen Langel, and Kristi (Ryan) Petersen, brothers; Dave (Becky) Frerichs, Mark (Shari) Frerichs, Brian (Tracy) Frerichs, and Scott (Lori) Frerichs, parents-in-law; Floyd & Marilyn Petzoldt, sister-in-law, Kathy (Randy Palli) Schultz; brother-in-law, Jon (Cathy) Petzoldt, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Gary is preceded in death by his father; Jerry; brother, Tom Frerichs; brother-in-law, Paul Langel; and nephew, Beau Langel.
