Garry Rachuy, 77 of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Craig, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the church on Tuesday. Arrangements are with Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars. Garry Ray Rachuy was born on July 15, 1947 in Worthington, MN to William and Barbara (O'Neil) Rachuy.

Garry was united in marriage to Janet Joyce Baack on August 3, 1968 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars and they made their home in Le Mars. Garry worked at Wells Dairy and Dean's Food in Le Mars until he retired in 2009.

Garry was a lifelong member of the American Lutheran Church and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars.

Garry is survived by his son, Scott Rachuy of Remsen; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Ethan and Faith; a former daughter-in-law, Patricia Rachuy; siblings: Ron (Jean) Rachuy of Mitchell, SD, Brad (Wendy) Rachuy of Dundee, MN, Bill (Peggy) Rachuy of Wabasoo, MN, Cheryl (Cliff) Anderson of Ceder, MN, Linda (Roger) Kluever of Brewster, MN, and Sheila Abels of Fulda, MN; sisters in law: Joy Rachuy of Fairmont, MN and Janyce (Dick) Schietzelt of Le Mars, IA; nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.

Garry is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janet; brother, Ken Rachuy; infant sister, Carolyn; and infant brother, baby boy Rachuy.
