Eva Meister, 68, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Accura Healthcare of Le Mars.

Abiding by her wishes, there will be no public services.  Burial will be at the Kingsley Cemetery in Kingsley, Iowa.  Arrangements are with the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. Expressions of sympathy can be extended to the family through www.mauerjohnsonfh.com .

Eva Jean Meister, the daughter of Ed and Eva (Pierce) Meister, was born on November 25, 1957, Sioux City, Iowa.  She grew up in Kingsley, Iowa, where she attended school.  She graduated from Kingsley-Pierson High School.

Eva spent most of her life in Le Mars.  She worked for Vander Meer Bakery early on.  Later, she became a C.N.A. and worked for Kingsley Nursing and Rehab, Stonebridge Assisted Living (Park Place Estates), Accura Healthcare of Le Mars (Plymouth Manor), and the Good Samaritan Society of Le Mars.  She also volunteered at the Helping Hands Thrift Store in Le Mars.

In her younger years, Eva enjoyed walking and riding her bike.  She also enjoyed reading.  She loved animals, especially dogs and cats.

Survivors include her close friend, Linda VanVoorst of Le Mars, IA; and cousins and other friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Eva Meister.
