Erica Angelina Jimenez, 52, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. A gathering of family and close friends will take place on January 25, 2025.

Erica Angelina Jimenez was born on January 22, 1972, in Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of Daniel Rene and Kathleen Ann (Bogenrief) Jimenez. She attended school in Sioux City, Iowa and Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania and graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School in Plymouth, Pennsylvania. Erica furthered her education at Oakland University in Auburn Hills, Michigan studying Human Resources.

Erica then moved to Florida where she lovingly cared for her brother, Tony, and continued her role as a caregiver when she returned to Iowa by assisting her grandparents, Kathleen and James Bogenrief. During those times she also worked several jobs in customer service.
Erica showed her talents, compassion and intelligence with all she met, whether knowing details from her voracious readings, TV shows she loved, caring for her many animals or being a creative cook. She knew how to listen to people to get to know them better and was an easy storyteller of her own adventures.

She will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Kathy Moore and her husband, David of Le Mars, IA; her father, Daniel Jimenez and his wife, Judy of Tampa, FL; half-sister, Emily (Stevan) Baird and their children, Madilynn and Landon of Tampa, FL; half-brother, Timothy (Shannon) Jimenez and their children, Cody and Zia of Tampa, FL; and a special friend, Jake Kirchner of Arden, NC.

Erica was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kathleen and James Bogenrief; grandmother, Lois Jimenez; grandfather, Daniel R. Jimenez V.; half-brother, Anthony Tony Jimenez; and an uncle, Michael Jimenez. Her ashes will be strewn with these family members.
