Dennis T. Nemmers, 77, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at All Saints Catholic Parish-St. James Church in Le Mars. Burial will follow at a later date at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the church.

Dennis Theodore Nemmers was born on August 11, 1944, in Le Mars, Iowa, the son of Orville and Dorothy (Nothem) Nemmers. He attended Gehlen Catholic School in Le Mars and then went to work with his father, Orville in the construction business.

On May 4, 1968, Denny and Angela Reskie were united in marriage at Laurens, Iowa. They made Le Mars their home. After a few years, Denny went out on his own and formed Nemmers Construction. He built numerous homes and buildings in the area. He retired in 2012.

Denny was a member of All Saints Catholic Parish in Le Mars. He enjoyed woodworking projects and restoring cars. He was a member of the Tri-State Cruisers.

Grateful to have shared his life is his wife of 53 years, Angela Nemmers of Le Mars, IA; children, Kevin (Erika) Nemmers of Le Mars, IA, Theresa (Doug Kane) Nemmers of Brandon, SD, Cory (Heidi) Nemmers of Le Mars, IA; grandchildren, Kaden, Joshua, Analeigh, Evan, Jacob, Maddie; sisters, Carolyn (Joe) Olson of Oelwein, IA, Mari (Rick) Langel of Panora, IA and Kate (Tony) Loutsch of Remsen, IA; brothers, Tom Nemmers of Burnsville, MN, Nick (Linda) Nemmers of Le Mars, IA, Dave (Joann) Nemmers of Bristol, IL, Jim Nemmers of Lincoln, NE and John (Mona) Nemmers of Savage, MN; and several nieces, nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Ann Boetger.
