Delores Bohlke, 89 of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Society of Le Mars.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 29, 2025 at All Saints Parish - St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars, Iowa. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will begin at 4:00 p.m. and will continue until a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m., all on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at All Saints Parish - St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. on Monday at the church. Arrangements are with Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars. Expressions of sympathy may be expressed to the family through www.mauerjohnsonfh.com .
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
Delores Martha Bohlke was born on April 27, 1936, the daughter of Cornelius and Anna (Konz) Wolf, on the family farm near Remsen, Iowa. She graduated from Remsen St. Mary's in 1954.
On November 18, 1957, she was united in marriage to Clayton Bohlke at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen. The couple made their home in rural Plymouth County. Delores enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing cards, and crafting. She also kept busy as a homemaker and helping on the farm. Later in life when their children were grown, she worked at Floyd Valley Hospital in the Housekeeping Department until she retired in 2014.
Clayton passed away on October 18, 2004 and Delores moved into Le Mars in 2005. She later moved to Prime Living in 2015 and became a resident at Good Samaritan Society of Le Mars in 2022.
Delores loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church - Neptune, Christian Mothers, and later joined All Saints Parish - St. Joseph Catholic Church in Le Mars.
Delores is survived by four children: Gary Bohlke of Kingsley, Lori (Rich) Steffen of Kingsley, Tony (Lori) Bohlke of Le Mars, and Lonnie (Rachelle) Bohlke of Le Mars; 11 grandchildren: Justin (Brenda) Bohlke of Jessup, IA, Brandon (Cassie) Bohlke of Kingsley, IA, Jennifer Bohlke of Moville, IA, Bradi Bohlke of Kingsley, IA, Melissa (Kyle) Wurth of Hinton, IA, Richie (Brittney) Steffen of Alexandria, MN, Matt Steffen of Austin, MN, Tyler (fiancé, Dara) Bohlke of Olathe, KS, Jeremy (Jess) Bohlke of Overland Park, KS, Hayden Bohlke of Le Mars, IA, and Norah Bohlke of Le Mars, IA; 18 great grandchildren; siblings: Dorothy Kunkel of Remsen, IA, Jeanette Goodwin of Lincoln, NE, and Alvin (Mary) Wolf of Henderson, NV; her siblings in law: Ray Bohlke of Le Mars and Lois (LaMont) Hageman of Le Mars, IA; nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Delores is preceded in death by her parents, Cornelius and Anna; her husband, Clayton Bohlke; her siblings: Emmet (Mary Lou) Wolf, Helen (Chuck) Bidinian, Carol Jean (Dale) Harris; her siblings in law: Jim Goodwin, Rosie (Arnie) Welter, Shirley (Bill) Traufler, Bud (Bonnie) Bohlke, Darlene (Donald) Thill, and Marilyn (Don) Hoffman.
