Obituary for Betty Ann Wheeler Marcus, Iowa – Betty A. Wheeler, 86, of Marcus, Iowa passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 at the Heartland Care Center in Marcus. The family will have a private graveside service.

Betty Ann was born on September 13, 1931 in Sioux Center, Iowa to John and Nina (Hillmer) Holmes. She attended and graduated from high school in Marcus. On November 29, 1958 Betty and George "Bud" Wheeler were united in marriage in Marcus. Bud passed away on July 29, 1986.

She worked as a bookkeeper at Cherokee Western Mutual/Smith Insurance and retired in 2006. Betty was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Marcus for over 50 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting.

Betty will be lovingly remembered by her daughters; Colleen Wheeler, Altoona, Iowa, Maureen Roseland, Hartley, Iowa, Cindy (Troy) Schueder, Paullina, Iowa; grandchildren; Charlie Roseland, Shane Roseland, Sara (Derek) Hurtig, Hannah Schueder, Shelby Schueder; great grandchildren; Huxley and Nash Hurtig.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother.
