She graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Granville on May 27, 1951. Mary Louise and Joseph L. Sauer were united in marriage on September 23, 1954 in the chapel at Camp Des Loges in Paris, France. Her spare time was spent playing cards, polka dancing with her favorite partner, Joe, and sending personalized greeting cards to her family and friends. Mary Louise volunteered at Floyd Valley Hospital for several years and was also named the Le Mars Chamber of Commerce “Employee of the Month” in 1996.

Grateful to have shared her life is her husband of 62 years, Joseph L.
