Condolence: Mavis's family has my sincere sympathy! I worked with Mavis for 12 years at MMC, as well as belonging to the same church. One time Mavis drove a group of teachers to Orange City for the Young Author's dinner. On the way there, as we were going through a small town, we followed a farmer who unintentionally knocked over 6 or more mailboxes with his planter. On the way home three hours later, we were very surprised to see that all of the mailboxes were back in place. Mavis commented, "Maybe we all just dreamed that happened!" We all had a good laugh. This is just one example of Mavis's sense of humor. Mavis touched many students' lives during her career and did many good works for the church and others. May her soul rest in peace and may the Lord grant her family and friends comfort and peace. Norene Bunt

Condolence: Mavis, we attended many Area 4 and Northwest Iowa media specialist meetings together over the years, shared experiences and got ideas from one another. I was just thinking of you the other day and then was surprised to see the announcement of your death in the Sioux City Journal a few days later. I'm sorry that we did not keep in touch more after we retired, but I know that you would have kept as involved in as many things as I have, so we led active lives. Rest in peace and love.

Condolence: My husband John & I would to extend our sympathy to Miss Diment's family. She taught both of us and was our class sponsor so we had a good time with her our 4 years of high school!! The Class of '75 is very saddened by her passing.
