Jeff L. Miksch, 46, of Le Mars, Iowa passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, February 13, 2015 at his home in Le Mars following lengthy illness. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 20, 2015 at the United Methodist Church of Le Mars. Rev. John Battern will officiate. Visitation with the family present will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, February 20, 2015 at the church.
Jeff Lynn Miksch was born on January 15, 1969 in Carroll, Iowa to Charles Dale and Beverly Ann (Barden) Miksch. He was raised and educated in Coon Rapids, Iowa, graduating from Coon Rapids Community High School in 1987. Jeff was always interested in technology. One of his favorite jobs was with KKRL radio in Carroll as a D.J. He would later become a call center manager and worked for several different companies.
Jeff and Jill Heimsoth were united in marriage on September 27, 2002 in Le Mars. Jeff continued his interest in computers and electronics by taking a position with Gateway Computers in the sales division. He returned to school and earned an associate’s degree in network administration from DeVry University in 2009. Jeff also worked as an X-Box customer service representative and was currently working at Best Buy as a computer salesman.
He was a lifelong Methodist and is a member of United Methodist Church of Le Mars. Jeff participated in the choir, children’s programs, vacation bible school and helped with the church’s audio/visual needs. His hobbies include fishing, music and photography. Above all, Jeff loved his family and all the things they shared.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jill and his sons, Christopher and Charlie of Le Mars; his father, Dale Miksch of Coon Rapids, IA; father and mother-in-law, Jim and Rita Heimsoth of Le Mars; a brother and his wife, Scott and Jean Miksch and their daughter, Emma of Eugene, OR; a sister-in-law, Lori Miksch and her children, Ryan, Tessa, Joshua, Sarah and Andrew of West Des Moines, IA; a brother-in-law and his wife, Jay and Meredith Heimsoth and their children, Loudon, Avalon and Von of Houston, TX; numerous extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; mother, Beverly; and his brother, Gary.
Memorials in Jeff’s name may be directed to the United Methodist Church in Le Mars.
