Condolence: Dear Leah and family, I was profoundly saddened to learn from Stan Jorgensen today of Jerry's death. After visiting briefly with Jerry at Russell's funeral vigil I knew he had been through a really difficult time. But it sounded more hopeful at that time. One of my favorite childhood memories is a fishing trip our family took with the Herbold's. Although Jerry and my brother, Larry, hung together, I appreciated that Jerry didn't seem to mind that I was tagging around. He made a big impression on me and I always looked up to him as I grow older. Jerry greeted with good humor and hospitality. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers as you pass through this valley. Our faith declares that not even death can separate us from the love of God.
